Fit Types

Fit is a brand decision as much as a comfort decision. This page explains slim, regular, and oversized fits - and how they affect sizing, silhouette, and print placement in custom apparel manufacturing.

Fits work best when matched with the right fabric and printing choices. For product-specific recommendations, see products.

Regular Fit

The safest "fits-most" option for bulk orders, uniforms, and general audiences.

Best for

  • Corporate and hospitality uniforms
  • Basic t-shirts and polos
  • First-time orders where sizing risk must stay low

Notes

  • Balanced shoulder and body width
  • Reliable logo placement across sizes
  • Pairs well with most fabrics and prints

Oversized Fit

A modern silhouette used in streetwear and premium casual collections.

Oversized is not simply ordering a bigger size - it is a different pattern with more width and often more length. Oversized fits can support larger graphics and stronger brand statements.

Best for

  • Streetwear collections
  • Merch drops with bold front/back graphics
  • Comfort-first team apparel

Notes

  • Higher GSM fabrics often look more structured
  • Be explicit about body width + length targets
  • Sampling is recommended to confirm silhouette

Slim Fit

A sharper silhouette for audiences that expect a closer-to-body profile.

Best for

  • Polos and certain retail basics
  • Programs where "clean look" is a priority
  • When sizing communication is clear

Notes

  • Higher risk of size mismatch in bulk orders
  • Print placement may need tighter scaling
  • Use size charts and sample confirmation
